Description:

Chef Dennis has always thought more like a diner than a chef. He comes up with as many new dishes as any other chef, but his have the pleasant ring of familiarity. Even when he goes long, as he did with his panneed lobster and oyster "doubloons." A few of his dishes--notably the cappuccino-style mirliton and crab bisque and the roast duck with smoked orange sauce--have been imitated by other restaurants. The restaurant's location in the historic old-town part of Kenner feels good, too.
